Medication Description: Three Leaf Watch (Folia Menyanthidis trifoliata)
LEAVES OF THE TRIPLE WATCH (Folia Menyanthidis trifoliata).
Synonyms: Water trefoil leaf, Trifoli leaf (Folium Trifolii fibrini).
After flowering, collected and dried leaves of a wild-growing perennial herbaceous three-leaf watch plant (Mennaunthes trifolia L.), herewith. rotational (Menyanthaaseae).
It grows in the European part of our country, in Transcaucasia and Siberia, through marshes, river banks and lakes. Contains glycosides, flavonoids (rutin and others - at least 1%) and other substances.
Used as a means to stimulate the appetite and choleretic in the form of infusion or tea. Brew 2 teaspoons in a glass of boiling water, filter, cool and take 1/4 cup 2 - 3 times a day for 20-30 minutes before meals. Included in the choleretic tea and bitter tincture.
