LEAVES OF THE TREFLATE WATCH (Folia Menyanthidis trifoliata).
Synonyms: Leaf of water trefoil, Leaf of trifoli (Folium Trifolii fibrini).
Collected after flowering and dried leaves of a wild perennial herbaceous plant of a three-leaved watch (Menuthes trifoliata L.), fam. rotational (Меnyanthaсеее).
It grows in the European part of our country, in Transcaucasia and Siberia along swamps, banks of rivers and lakes. Contains glycosides, flavonoids (rutin, etc. - at least 1%) and other substances.
Used as a means to stimulate appetite and choleretic in the form of infusion or tea. Brew 2 teaspoons in a glass of boiling water, filter, cool and take 1/4 cup 2 to 3 times a day 20-30 minutes before eating. Included in choleretic tea and bitter tincture.
