Description medications: Izafenin (Isapheninum)

IZAFENIN (Isapheninum).

Bis-3- (4-acetoxyphenyl) -izatin.

Synonyms: Acetalax, Acetphenolisatin, Asitin, Bisatin , Diphesatine, Ditin, Eulaxin, Fenisan, Isacen, Laxaseptol, Laxigen, Laxyl, Neolax, Prulax and others.

White light powder with a weak smell of acetic acid. Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol.

Close on the structure and operation of phenolphthalein, but less toxic. In the intestine under the influence of the alkali content of splits and separates dioksifenilizatin, providing a laxative effect.

Apply with habitual constipation, intestinal atony.

Assign inside (to food) for adults 0.01 - 0.015 g, 2 times a day or once 0.02 g (2 tablets) for children older - 0,005 0.01 g 1 -2 times a day.

Higher doses for adults: single 0,025 grams daily 0.05 g

In some cases, there is pain in the bowel region.

When receiving izafenina should not use alkali and alkaline mineral water (during treatment and for one hour before and after administration).
