THE GRASS OF THERMOSPHIS OF LUNCET (Herba Thermopsidis lanceolata).

Synonym: Grass Mushroom.

Collected at the very beginning of flowering until the formation of fruits and dried grass of a perennial long-term plant of thermopsis of lanceolate (Thr mopsis lanseolata R. Br), the family. Beans (Leguminosaae).

Thermopsis is common in the Trans-Volga, Siberia, Kazakhstan and elsewhere. Contains alkaloids (cytisine, methylcytisine, pachycarpine, anagirine, thermopsin, thermopsidin), saponins, essential oil and other substances.

Alkaloids should be at least 1, 5%.

The substances contained in the plant have a complex effect on the organism. Cytisine (see Cytisine) and to a lesser extent methylcitisin excite respiration, pachycarpin (see) exerts a depressing effect on vegetative ganglia. In general, the sum of the substances of this plant is expectorant, and in large doses - vomiting.

Apply in the form of infusions, powder, tablets, dry extract, which as expectorants replace drugs and pevkakuany.

For adults, the powder is prescribed 0.01 - 0.05 g 2 - 3 times a day, infusion (0.6-1 g for 180 - 200 ml) - 1 tablespoon 3 to 4 times a day.

Children under 2 years are recommended to take 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of infusion from 0.1 g per 100 ml, for older children - 1/2 - 1 teaspoonful - 1 dessert - 1 tablespoon of infusion from 0.2 grams per 100 ml 3 times a day.

Higher doses of thermopsis grass for adults inside: single dose

0,1 g, daily 0,3 g.

Tablets for coughing (Tauletlette sotra tussim). They contain 0.01 g of thermopsis grass in fine powder, 0.25 g of sodium bicarbonate.

Assign 1 tablet 3 times a day.

Product: in a package of 10 tablets.

Storage: in a dry, cool place protected from light.

Extract of thermopsis dry (Extracum Thermopsidis siccum). A mixture of extracts of thermopsis of dry and milk sugar; 1 g of the drug for the content of alkaloids corresponds to 1 g of herbs of thermopsis, which includes 1% of alkaloids. Light brown powder. Easily soluble in water.

Assign adults 1 tablet 2 - 3 times a day.

Product: tablets of 0.05 g.

Dry medicine for coughing for adults (Mixtura sicca compa tussim pro adultis). Ingredients: 0.6 g dry extract extract, 2 g dry liquorice extract, 2 g sodium bicarbonate, sodium benzoate and ammonium chloride, 0.05 g anise oil, 10 g sugar. Brownish gray powder with anise oil smell. The aqueous solution (1:10) is brown.

Apply in the form of an aqueous solution as an expectorant and anti-cough agent.
