Description of the medicine: Mucaltin (Mucaltinum)
A drug containing a mixture of polysaccharides (dry mucus) from the grass of the moth marshmallow.
Amorphous powder of greenish-brown color. Slowly soluble in cold water, faster when heated; forms turbid, viscous solutions.
Assign in the form of tablets (0.05 g each) as an expectorant for acute and chronic respiratory diseases (with bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis, etc.).
Take 1 to 2 tablets (before meals). The course of treatment is on average 7-14 days.
Children can dissolve the tablet in 1/3 cup of warm water and add sugar syrup.
Release form: tablets containing 0.05 g of mucaltin (with the addition of 0.087 g of sodium bicarbonate and 0.16 g of tartaric acid), in 20 glass tubes.
Storage: in a cool, dry place.
