Description of the medicine: Rhizomes with cyanosis roots (Rhizomata cum radicibus Polemonii)
ROOTING WITH CYNUHA ROOTS (Rhizomata cum radicibus Polemonii).
Washed and dried rhizomes harvested in early spring or autumn with the roots of a cultivated and wild-growing perennial herbaceous plant of the cyanosis of the blue (Pulmonium rumulus L.), herewith. sinyukhovy (Pole moniacaeae). It grows throughout our country. The plant, especially its roots and rhizomes, contain saponins. It has an expectorant and sedative effect.
Applied as an expectorant for acute and chronic bronchitis. Sometimes it is prescribed together with the dried marsh in ulcerative diseases of the stomach. As an expectorant, take an infusion of the roots (6 - 8 g per 200 ml), decoction (3 - 6 g per 200 ml) 1 tablespoon 3 - 5 times a day (after meals).
When stomach ulcers appoint a decoction of 1 tablespoon 3 times a day after meals and an infusion of dried marsh (10 g per 200 ml) 3 tablespoons 3 times a day before meals.
Tablets containing dry extracts from cyanosis roots and dried herbs are also produced.
