Rhizomes and roots of cyanosis (Rhizomata cum radicibus Polemonii).

Collected in early spring or autumn washed and dried rhizomes and roots of cultivated and wild plants are perennial races cyanosis blue (Rolemonium soeruleum L.), herewith. polemoniaceae (Role moniaceae). It grows throughout the country. Plant, especially its roots and rhizomes contain saponins. It has expectorant and Seda tive action.

Used as an expectorant in acute and chronic bronchitis. Sometimes appointed with Cudweed in peptic ulcer of the stomach of their disease. As an expectorant take an infusion of the roots (6 - 8 g per 200 ml) broth (3 - 6 g per 200 ml) 1 tablespoon 3 - 5 times a day (after eating).

In gastric ulcer prescribe broth 1 tablespoon 3 times a day after meals, and the infusion of cudweed marsh (10 g per 200 ml) 3 tablespoons of 3 times a day before meals.

Available as tablets containing the dry extracts from the roots of cyanosis and grass cudweed.
