Description of the medicine: Shoots of Labrador tea (Cormus Ledi palustris)
RUNNING BOGULNIKA SWAMP (Cormus Ledi palustris).
Collected in August - September during the fruit ripening phase and dried shoots of the current year, wild evergreen shrub of Ledum marsh (Ledum palustre L.), heather (Erisasee).
They contain essential oils (at least 0.1%), glycoside (arbutin), and tannins. The main component of the essential oil is palustrol, which has a sharp specific odor.
It is used (in adults) as an expectorant for bronchitis and other bronchopulmonary diseases accompanied by cough.
Assign in the form of infusion of 1/4 - 1/3 cup 2 - 3 times a day.
The cooking method is the same as for other infusions: 10 g of chopped shoots are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 1 cup of cold boiled water, cover with a lid, heat in boiling water (in a water bath) for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature, filter , the remaining raw materials are squeezed. Bring the volume of boiled water to 200 ml. Take in the form of heat.
Release form: crushed raw materials in cardboard packs of 75 or 100 g.
Storage: in a dry, cool place; cooked infusion - in a cool place no more than 2 days.
