Description medications: Tselanid (Celanidum)

TSELANID (Celanidum).

Primary (genuinny) glycoside - digilanid or lanatozid C, from the leaves of Digitalis lanata.

Synonyms: Izolanid, Lanatozid C, Cedilanid, Cedisanol, Cedistabil,

Ceglunat, Celadigal, Cristalanat C, Digilanid C, Isolanid, Lanacroist,

Lanatigen C, Lanatosidum C.

Colourless or white crystalline powder and odorless. Very slightly soluble in water, it is difficult - in alcohol.

It acts on the heart, like other digitalis glycosides, providing, however, quick effect, and has a relatively low capacity for accumulation. Active ingestion; when administered intravenously acts almost as fast as strophanthin. Compared to strofantinom it turns out to be more powerful bradycardic effect.

Applied with acute and chronic circulatory failure

II and III level, tahisistolicheskoy form of atrial fibrillation, supraven trikulyarnoy form of paroxysmal tachycardia.

Assign into tablets (0.25 mg) or in drops (0.05% solution races) and intravenous (0.02% solution for injections).

To obtain a rapid effect is administered intravenously at 0.2 - 0.4 mg (1 - 2 ml of 0.02% solution) 1 - 2 times a day. Inside are from 0.25 - 0.5 mg (1 - 2 tablets) and 10 - 25 drops of 0.05% solution of 3 - 4 times a day (daily dose sometimes exceed the highest daily dose, pre sidered GPC). Upon reaching therapeutic effect (when administered within vennom usually 2 - 3 day, and when administered at 3 - 5 day) daily maintenance dose is reduced to 0.4 - 0.2 mg of (2 - 1 0 ml , 02% solution) intravenously, 0.5 - 0.25 mg (2 - one tablet) or 40 - 20 - 0.05% 10 drops into the solution. For long-term maintenance therapy designate the interior of 1/2 tablets 2 times a day.

Higher doses for adults inside: single 0.0005 g (0.5 mg), 0.001 g daily (1 mg); veins: single 0.0004 g (0.4 mg) daily 0.0008 g (0.8 mg).

Possible complications and contraindications are the same as for other digitalis glycosides.

Method of issuance: pills to 0.00025 grams (0.25 mg); 0.05% solution in vials of 10 ml (0.5 mg in 1 mL) for oral administration and 0.02% solution in ampoules of 1 ml (0.2 mg in 1 mL).
