GANGLERON (Gangleronum). G-Diethylamino-1,2-dimethylpropyl ester of p-isobutoxybenzoic acid hydrochloride.

Synonym: Ganglefeni hydrochloridum.

Colorless crystalline powder odorless. Hygroscopic. Easily soluble in water and alcohol. Solutions (pH 4, 5 - 6, 0) are sterilized at + 100 ° C for 30 minutes.

Gangleron, has anticholinergic, spasmolytic and local anesthetic effect.

It blocks n-holinoreaktivnye systems of vegetative nodes (parasympathetic and sympathetic) and the central nervous system, it has no effect on m-cholinergic systems of influence; Causes relaxation of smooth muscles and dilated blood vessels.

It can be used as an antispasmodic agent for various pathological conditions accompanied by spasms of smooth muscles, including muscles of the abdominal cavity organs, and for preventing attacks of angina pectoris. There are data on the effectiveness of gangleron in sympathoganglionitis and gangliosolaritis.

Assign gangleron inside, under the skin or intramuscularly. In a vein do not enter because of possible sharp depression of a BP.

Inside take in capsules to 0.04 g 3 - 4 times a day. Under the skin and intramuscularly enter in the form of 1, 5% solution, starting with 1 ml 3 - 4 times a day (in the first 1 - 2 days), then 2 - 3 ml 3 - 4 times a day. From the 10th day of treatment, one injection is replaced by ingestion of the drug inside before meals and within 4 days of completely switching to taking the drug inside. The total duration of treatment 4 - 5 weeks.

Sometimes used also gangleron for intradermal blockade (with insufficient effectiveness of subcutaneous or intramuscular injections). Instead of another injection or taking the drug inside, make an intradermal blockade, using a 0.2-0.25% solution of the drug, the next day make a bilateral paravertebral blockade at a level of Th 1 - Th 5.

Higher doses for adults inside: single 0,075 g, daily 0,3 g; Under the skin and intramuscularly: a single 0.06 g (4 ml of a 1, 5% solution), a daily 0.18 g (12 ml of a 1, 5% solution).

Ganglionic is usually well tolerated. When ingested, it causes a slight irritation with subsequent anesthesia. In concentrations above 1.5%, the drug should not be used for injection, as it can cause irritation and tissue necrosis.
