Description of the medicine: Benperidol (Benperidolum)
BENPERIDOL (Benperidolum). 1 - {- 1- [3- (p-Fluorobenzoyl) propyl] -4-piperidyl) -2-benzimidazolinone.
Synonyms: Anquil, Benzperidol, Concillium, Frenactil, Glianimon, Psicoben.
White or slightly creamy shade of crystalline powder. Almost nerastvorim in water is slightly soluble in alcohol.
The structure is close to droperidol, differs only in the presence of a piperidine nucleus in the molecule instead of tetrahydropyridine.
The action is similar to haloperidol. It is used as a neuroleptic for schizophrenia and other mental disorders. Effective in smaller doses than haloperidol.
Assign 0.25-1.5 mg per day.
