Description of the medicine: Anavenol
ANAVENOL.
Combined preparation in the form of pellets containing esculin (close to action to escin) 1, 5 mg, dihydroergocristine (mesylate) 0.5 mg and rutin ZO mg, or as drops containing 1 ml (20 drops) of esculin 1, 5 Mg, dihydroergocristine (mesylate) 0.5 mg and sodium rutin sulfonate 40 mg.
It is a venotonic drug used for chronic diseases of veins: phlebitis, varicose veins, leg ulcers, posttraumatic lesions of veins, etc.
The effect of the drug is associated with the capillaroprotective ability of esculin and rutin and the special effect on the peripheral vessels of dihydroergocristin (see). The latter is an adrenoblocker and causes the expansion of arterioles. However, as shown recently, it tones the smooth muscles of the veins. Thus, it improves blood circulation in peripheral vessels.
Assign anavenol inside (after eating) 2 tablets 3 times a day or 20 drops 4 times a day for the first week, then 1 tablet 3 times a day or 20 drops 2 to 3 times a day. The course of treatment 2 - 3 months.
The drug is contraindicated in bleeding.
