Description of the medicine: Stamini orthosphophonic leaves (Folia Orthosiphoni staminei)
LEADS OF THE ORTHOSYPHON MUSIC (Folia Orthosiphoni staminei).
Synonym: Kidney tea.
Orthosiphon staminus (Orthosiphon stamineus Venth.), Herewith. yasnotkovyh (Laminaceae). Tropical perennial plant; cultivated in our country.
For medicinal purposes, the dried leaves and apical shoots, called kidney tea, are collected during the growing season. They contain orthosyphonin glycoside, saponins, essential oil.
Have a moderate diuretic effect. Applied sometimes with edema due to circulatory failure and impaired renal function. Infusion should be prepared daily: 3 - 3, 5 g of leaves brewed with a glass of boiling water and insist in a warm place for 30 minutes. Filter and add to the original volume with boiled water.
Take in the form of heat and 1/2 cup for 20 - 30 minutes before meals 2 times a day.
Infusion of leaves of ortosiphon is also prescribed for cholecystitis; a favorable effect is apparently associated with moderate antispasmodic action. Assign in the same doses after meals.
Product form: chopped raw materials of 60 g in carton packs.

DS 1/2 cup half an hour before meals 2 times a day (drink warm)
Briquette of kidney tea (Вriketum folii Оrthosiphoni). Prepared from coarse powder orthosiphon. Rectangular tile briquette of 120 x 65 x 8 mm in size, weighing 60 g, consists of 10 lobes of 6 g each. Round briquettes also weighing 6 g.
Pour 1/2 slices or 1/2 round briquette with a glass of boiling water, boil for 5 minutes, infuse for 4 hours, filter. Take 1/2 cup 2 times a day.
