Description medications: BDP (Beclometasoni dipropionas)

BDP (Beclometasoni dipropionas). A 9-chloro-11 b, 17 a, 21-trihydroxy-16 b-methyl-1, 4-pregnadien-3, 20-dione 17, 21-dipropionate, or a 9-chloro-16-methyl prednizolondipropionat b.

Synonyms: Beclocort, Beclosol, Beclotaide, Beclovent , Becotide, Gnadion, Propavent, Sanasthmyl, Vanceril, Viarex and others.

Available in the form of aerosol inhalation under the names: bekotid << >> (<< Becotid >>), << Beklomet >> (<< Beclomet >>), << Beklat >> (<< Beclate >> et al.) . Apply with bronchial asthma, especially in cases where the ineffective conventional bronchodilators and kromolin- sodium (Intal).

Adults appoint 2-dose inhalation (total 100 mg) 3 - 4 times a day; in severe cases, produce up to 12 - 16 Inga lations (600 - 800 mg) per day. Children appoint 1 - 2 inhalations (50 - 100 mcg) 2 - 4 times a day.

The maximum daily dose for adults should not exceed 20 inhalations (1 mg); for children up to 12 years - 10 inhalations (500 micrograms).

The drug has no cupping action; effect usually develops gradually over the first week. You can combine bekotid with bronchodilators, cromolyn sodium, antibiotics.

With long-term use of the drug may develop oral candidiasis, which requires the use of antifungal agents.

Contraindicated during pregnancy, active tuberculosis of various organs (pulmonary tuberculosis in an inactive form); Caution is required when patients with adrenal insufficiency appointment.

Product: aerosol provided with a metering valve and for 200 inhalations of 50 micrograms per dose.
