BENFOTHYAMIN (Benphothiaminum). 2-Methyl-4-amino-5- (1'-phosphate-3'-benzoylthio-4'-methylbut-3'-en-4'-formamidomethyl) -pyrimidine.

Benzothiamine is a synthetic compound, similar in structure and action to thiamine and cocarboxylase. The drug has a 1-vitamin activity, it is well absorbed when taken orally.
