GRASS OF THE DESERT (Herba Leonuri).
Collected in the flowering phase and dried grass of a wild-growing and cultivated perennial herb of the five-bladed motherwort (Leonurus quinquelobatus Gilib, synonym: L. villosus Desf.) And the common motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca L.), fam. cladaceae (Lamiaceae). Contains essential oil, saponins, tannins, alkaloids.
Assign in the form of an infusion, tincture or extract (often in combination with valerian preparations - see) as a sedative for increased nervous irritability, cardiovascular neurosis, in the early stages of hypertension. By the nature of the action, motherwort preparations are close to valerian preparations. The infusion is prepared from 15 g of herb per 1 glass of water, take 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day (before meals).
Release form: the crushed raw materials on 100 g in cardboard packs.
Tincture of motherwort (Tinctura Leonuri). Tincture (1: 5) on 70% alcohol. Transparent greenish-brown liquid with a bitter taste and a faint odor. Take 30-50 drops 3-4 times a day (before meals).
Release form: in dropper bottles on 25 ml.
Motherwort extract liquid (Extractum Leonuri fluidum). Take 15 to 20 drops 3-4 times a day (before meals).

Motherwort herb briquette (round) (Briketumé herbae Leonuri).
Two briquettes are poured with 1 cup of hot boiled water, closed with a lid, heated in boiling water with stirring for 15 minutes), cooled, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out, and refilled with boiled water to 200 ml. Take 1/2 cup 2 times a day (before meals).
