Description of the medicine: Contrykal

Contrikal.

Anti-enzyme (antiprotease) drug, close in action to pantripin. It is similar to preparations "Trasilol" (Trasylol), "Tzalol" (Tsalol).

Inhibits the activity of trypsin, kallikrein, plasmin. Activity is expressed in antitrypsin units of action (ED).

Applied with acute pancreatitis and pancreanecrosis, chronic recurrent pancreatitis, for the prevention of postoperative pancreatitis, etc. Also used in postoperative parotitis. There are data on the use of contrikal to reduce the activity of proteolytic enzymes in thyrotoxic crisis, in the complex therapy of coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction.

Introduce the drug intravenously at one time (slowly!) Or drip in 300 - 500 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution. Doses are determined depending on the severity of the disease. Usual single doses of 10 000 - 20 000 units.

In acute conditions, doses may be in the early days of 40 000 - 60 000 units, then, as the clinical picture and laboratory data (blood and urine amylase content, urine level, trypsinemia level, etc.) are improved, the dose is gradually reduced.

When exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis is used, starting with 20 000 units per day; Further dose changes are determined by the level of trypsinemia.

The drug is usually well tolerated, however, there may be allergic reactions, for the prevention of which it is recommended to use antihistamines.

Product: in bottles containing 10 000; 30 000 and 50 000 units in dry form, with the addition of ampoules with a solvent (isotonic sodium chloride solution).

Storage: in a dark place at a temperature of not more than +15 'C.
