By action is close to gemfibrozil.

Applied with hyperlipidemia (mainly with hypertriglyceridemia types IV and V) with ineffectiveness of diet and high risk of pancreatitis, as well as hyperlipidemia type IIb (including diabetes mellitus).

According to the data published in the foreign medical literature, the progression of coronary atherosclerosis is slowed down in patients who have survived myocardial infarction with hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia, the number of cases of deterioration of coronary circulation in high-risk groups decreases, the lipid profile improves and the level of fibrinogen in the blood plasma decreases.

Assign inside 0.2 g 3 times a day, retardnye forms - 0.4 grams 1 time per day.

Possible side effects: dyspepsia, cholestasis, myopathy with pain and rigidity of muscles, rhabdomyolysis, alopecia, increased transaminase and creatine phosphokinase levels in the blood, allergic reactions.

The drug is contraindicated in diseases of the liver, gallbladder and kidneys, pregnancy and lactation.

Incompatible with statins (increased risk of rhabdomyolysis).
