Gemodez (Haemodesum).

Aqueous saline solution containing 6% of low molecular weight polyvinylpyrrolidone (relative molecular mass of 12,600 + 2,700), and sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chlorine.

Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) is a polymer compound; is readily soluble in water.

Haemodesum - transparent yellow liquid; the relative viscosity of a 1, 5 - 2, 1; pH 5 2 - 7, 0.

Apply for detoxification of toxic forms of gastrointestinal diseases (dysentery, dyspepsia, salmonelezy al.), Burn disease in the phase of intoxication post intoxication, infectious diseases, pregnant toxicosis and other pathological processes involving intoxication.

The mechanism of action gemodeza due to the ability of low molecular weight polyvinylpyrrolidone bind toxins circulating in the blood, and quickly remove them from the body.

The drug is rapidly excreted by the kidneys (up to 80% for 4 hours) and partly through the intestines.

It increases renal blood flow, glomerular filtration increases and increases diuresis.

Enter gemodez intravenously at a rate of 40 - 80 drops per minute. If not, intravenous subcutaneous acceptable, but the effect in this case is less pronounced.

The solution is warmed prior to introduction to +35; + 36 'C. Adult administered once to 300 - 500 ml; children under 5 - 10 ml / kg.

The number of injections and the total number of input gemodeza depend on the nature and course of the disease process. In the slow introduction gemodez usually does not cause complications. Introduction of high speed can cause a drop in blood pressure, tachycardia, shortness of breath, and require the introduction of vasoconstrictor and heart of calcium chloride.

The drug is contraindicated in bronchial asthma, acute nephritis, a brain haemorrhage.
