Smell from the mouth

It arises primarily because of unsystematically carried out hygiene of the oral cavity. Pieces of food left after its reception in the interdental spaces, as well as in carious teeth, deflated epithelium of the mucosa are exposed to bacteria that are abundant in the oral cavity. There is a breakdown of proteins and food epithelium and their subsequent decay, which results in the occurrence of odor. In addition, the cause of it can be an inflammatory process in the surrounding tissues (see Parodoptit), damage to the mucous membrane of the mouth, the tongue (see Gingivitis, Stomatitis), and, in rare cases, gastric disease (gastritis).
Prevention and elimination of odors is reduced, mainly, to regular oral care. In the morning and in the evening, it is necessary to brush your teeth: the movement of the toothbrush should be both in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction for careful removal of food residues from the interdental spaces. Promotes this by using toothpicks and rinsing the mouth with water after eating. Effective use of solutions of smelling substances: mint, special deodorants. When the disease of the oral mucosa, tissues around the tooth, as well as the stomach, special treatment is indicated.
