Prostatitis

Prostatitis is a nonspecific inflammation of the prostate. It often occurs after instrumental urological examinations and catheterization of the bladder.

Symptoms, course. Pain in the perineum, bladder area, rectum, frequent urination, nocturia, terminal hematuria (triplicate test), pyuria. Retention of urine. High temperature and the phenomenon of intoxication. When finger examination of iron is increased, painful, with abscessing, fluctuation.

Complications: a breakthrough abscess in the rectum, bladder, perineum, sepsis.

Treatment. The regime is bedding. Antibiotics, analgesics, warm sessile baths. When abscessing, an autopsy of the abscess under general anesthesia.

The prognosis is favorable, but often there is chronic prostatitis.
