What will the hair tell?

What is MAB?

Multi-element hair analysis (MAB) is an analytical test that allows you to determine the content of various trace elements in your hair. About 100mg of hair is needed for the analysis. Samples are obtained by cutting strands of hair from the occipital part of the head, directly from the root.

MAW in the world practice.

This modern method of diagnosis is very popular abroad. Specialized laboratories are engaged in research and commercial analysis. Today, MAV became possible with us, thanks to the new Ukrainian device "ElvaX-med" ..

Why is it necessary to determine the content of trace elements?

Microelements affect the growth rate and mental development of the child (iodine, zinc), the reproductive function of man (zinc, selenium), ensure the normal formation of the skeleton and muscular system (calcium, potassium), participate in hematopoiesis (iron, copper). They are necessary for the body in a strictly defined quantity.
Toxic elements enter the body as a result of industrial pollution of the environment. Among them, lead occupies a special place, which suppresses immunity, and in severe cases affects the nervous system.
The lack or excess of microelements causes metabolic disorders and various diseases.
MAB can detect the imbalance of microelements at an early stage, long before the onset of symptoms of the disease.

Why hair?

Hair is the ideal medium for testing. In hair in small quantities contain almost all the chemical elements that enter the human body with food and air. Each centimeter of hair tells of a period of one month.
MAB does not replace the analysis of trace elements in the blood or urine, but provides additional information and new unique diagnostic capabilities.
Examples:
After 30-40 days after lead poisoning, it is already impossible to detect it in the blood serum. MAB can determine not only the concentration of lead, but also the time it enters the body.
Deficiency of iron in the body can be determined by hair in the early (latent) stage of anemia, when the level of hemoglobin in the blood is still normal.

Children and the balance of microelements.

The lack of trace elements (ME) in the body today scientists call "hidden hunger", meaning that the consequences of such deficiency can be severe, and it is not easy to identify it. Steady deficiency of calcium, iodine, zinc, iron, copper, selenium and other important elements is found in many children, even among those who eat fully, as actively growing children's body uses them intensively. Deficiency of the ME can be associated with frequent colds, allergies, poor appetite, changes in the mood of the child, even his low school performance. There are no unusual symptoms. Probably, that's why many parents relate to the problem of prevention of deficient conditions in children not seriously enough. And in vain, the long-term deficit of virtually every trace element causes metabolic disorders and various diseases.
There are a lot of examples. Due to lack of iodine, memory deteriorates, intellect decreases, hair falls out, thyroid functions are disrupted. The deficiency of zinc, which at this age can develop very rapidly, inhibits the growth processes, the normal sexual and mental development of the child. The lack of copper in adolescent girls leads to a violation of the synthesis of sex hormones, malfunctions of the menstrual cycle. By the way, the deficit of only one element is quite rare, it is usually multi-element. So the development of scoliosis is associated with the insufficiency of not only calcium, but also manganese, copper, zinc, selenium. Infringements of balance of elements in the childhood and during puberty necessarily affect health and in adulthood.

Female problems and the balance of microelements

The most different health problems can be expected if there is a deficit of useful macro- and microelements in the female body.
Let us give an example. The girl appealed with complaints of increased hair loss, headaches, irritability, lack of appetite. Symptoms appeared after a busy summer period - passing exams to the institute, personal problems.
MAB diagnostics revealed significant deviations in the content of iron, calcium, potassium, selenium, sulfur and manganese. For the patient, a special diet was developed, taking into account the deficiency found. After 5 weeks her condition improved, the process of hair loss stopped, and repeated analysis showed that the content of these important elements is normalized.
It is just necessary to control the mineral balance during pregnancy. At this time, there is a significant increase in the need for many MEs, because mom is the only source of nutrients for the baby. Therefore, future mothers often have a deficit of many elements-iron, calcium, selenium, zinc and iodine. By the way, the lack of zinc can develop quickly, already in the first trimester of pregnancy. It is fraught with premature birth or, conversely, an increase in the duration of pregnancy, the weakness of labor, the birth of an immature fetus. Together with the necessary ME, hazardous elements - mercury, cadmium, lead, arsenic - can enter the body of the future child, which in the future will affect his health.
Another difficult period for women is menopause. There is a hormonal reconstruction of the body, it is accompanied by the loss of calcium, selenium, zinc, potassium, copper and manganese. Potassium is excreted with sweat during tides, selenium is used to maintain hormonal balance. Nervousness and irritability, flabbiness of muscles and skin, weakness of joints, tendons, ligaments, fragility of bones - all this is a classic picture of the disturbed balance of ME.
Both during pregnancy and menopause, it is necessary to fill the deficiency of missing elements. But do not take drugs and supplements with ME, just because they are heavily advertised or they helped your girlfriends. First, find out how the situation is with the balance of ME in your body. If there are problems, it is better to solve them under the supervision of a doctor.

Men's Health and Micronutrient Balance

Businessmen, financiers, computer scientists, scientists, engineers, students - those who spend their time at the computer or desk, have all the prerequisites for the development of ME insufficiency.
Specificity of mental work is such that intense brain activity, combined with inactivity, lack of sleep, and often with irrational nutrition, alcohol and smoking. All these factors cause stress and disrupt the balance of ME even in a young and healthy person. To overcome stress, the body works "at increased speed," consuming nutrients more than normal. The reserves of the DOE are depleted, their assimilation deteriorates. Stress manifests itself familiar to many symptoms: weakness, headaches, irritability, memory impairment, insomnia, gastrointestinal disorders.
Simulators, sports games, other intense physical activities in untrained people against the background of stress further exacerbate the imbalance of DOE.
Deficiency of ME can lead to a decrease in sexual activity. Potassium, iron, manganese, copper, chromium, zinc and other DOEs are directly involved in the process of energy production. For example, deficiency of potassium and iron leads to a decrease in the general tone of the body, causes fatigue, muscle weakness. The lack of zinc and manganese in men can provoke a decrease in sperm motility, a violation of reproductive functions, even impotence.

How to prevent the development of microelement deficiency.

If the deficit did not occur very long ago, it is possible to restore the rate fairly quickly. A well-balanced diet can help a healthy person. In some cases, it is necessary to take the missing elements in the form of preparations. For people who already have health problems, knowing their ME status will help improve the effectiveness of treatment and prolong the period of remission. MAV-diagnostics allows to detect the deficit of elements at the earliest stage and take timely measures.

In what form are the results of the analysis obtained?

Standard analysis determines the content of 25 elements, among them:
Vital (calcium, zinc, potassium, iodine, iron, copper, selenium, bromine, sulfur, molybdenum, cobalt, chromium, vanadium, nickel);
Toxic (barium, lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium, antimony, rubidium, strontium, zirconium, chlorine, indium).

After the analysis, the patient receives a report containing quantitative data on the concentration (μg / g) of each microelement hair, and the range of concentrations is normal. Quantitative data are accompanied by interpretation of the results, as well as the recommendations of the doctor.
Based on the results of MAB, a restoration of the balance of microelements in the body based on the correction of nutrition using natural biologically active additives is carried out.
