Polyps of the nose

Polyps of the nose are formed mainly as a result of prolonged irritation of the mucous membrane. Often the cause of the development of polyps is an allergy. Polyps are often multiple and have the most diverse form. The nasal polyp, which descends into the nasopharynx, is called choanaal. Allergic polyps are prone to relapse.

Symptoms, course. Difficult nasal breathing, headache, poor sleep, ejaculation, low sense of smell. With a rhinoscopy, edematous pale-cyanotic tumor formations are found, mostly having a leg.

Treatment. When polyps accompany purulent inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, they are removed simultaneously with a wide opening of the sinuses. With allergic polyposis, the polyps are removed from the nasal cavity on the background of desensitizing therapy.
