Parakoklis

Paracottus is an acute infectious disease caused by a paracolum; Has a similarity to the mild forms of pertussis. Mostly children aged 2 to 5 years are ill. The incubation period averages 10-11 days. The disease occurs more often without fever, with a cough that can take a convulsive, pertussis-like character. Complications (pneumonia) are rare, a favorable course.

The diagnosis is confirmed bacteriologically.

Treatment is symptomatic.
