Anovulatory cycle

The anovulatory cycle is a menstrual cycle without ovulation and development of the yellow body while maintaining regular bleeding. Occurs in the period of the formation of the menstrual cycle (menarche), menopause and less often in childbearing age. Anovulatory cycle is caused by insufficient gonadotropic stimulation of the ovaries, as well as sometimes increased production of prolactin by the pituitary. The diagnosis is based on tests of functional diagnostics (monophasic basal temperature, positive pupil symptom, CRI 30-40% in the second phase of the cycle). In histological examination of scraping endometrium, produced 2-3 days before menstrual bleeding, there are no signs of secretion. In urine, a low content of pregnanediol (less than 1 mg / day) is determined.

Treatment. Cyclic hormone therapy with the addition of choriogonin in the middle of the cycle (1500 ED from the 11th to the 14th day of the cycle). Progesterone (or its analogs) in the second phase of the cycle: progesterone, 1 ml of a 1% solution, daily IM for 8 days before bleeding, 1 hour tablet of norkolut for 8 days. For the induction of ovulation, use is made of clostilbehyde (see Amenorrhea). Hyperprolactinemia is treated as a parlodel.
