Vulvit

Vulvit - inflammation of the vulva; Often combined with vaginitis (see Vulvovaginitis). It arises from mechanical, chemical influences, the development of infections.

Symptoms, course. Pain and itching in the genital area, with external examination in the acute stage - hyperemia and swelling of the vulva with serous-purulent discharge; Possibly ulceration and plaque formation.

Treatment. The treatment of inflammatory diseases of the vagina and uterus (see Vaginitis, Cervicitis). Eliminate mechanical and other stimuli. In acute stage - bed rest, washing external outdoor organs 2-3 times a day with a warm solution of potassium permanganate (1:10 000), infusion of chamomile, 2% solution of boric acid. Warm sessile baths with a weak solution of sodium permanganate.
