Soft chancre - a sexually transmitted disease, which manifests itself mainly in soft painful sores on the genitals.

Pathogen-streptobatsilla Petersen-Dyukreya. Infection usually occurs through sexual contact. The incubation period is 3-4 days. In place of the introduction of the pathogen pustules formed, quickly turn into ulcers. Ulcers are usually multiple, painful, have ostrovospalitelny character, irregular shape, uneven deep bottom with abundant muco-purulent discharge and soft bright red saped edge. Sometimes the infection penetrates into the regional lymph nodes and vessels, and therefore develop lymphangitis and lymphadenitis with the formation of purulent fistulae. After 2-3 months the process ends scarring. In debilitated patients have a prolonged duration.

Diagnosis is confirmed by detection of the pathogen in the purulent discharge.

Treatment. Supfanilamidy or antibiotics (in moderate doses for 10 days), the lavage solution of potassium permanganate ulcer dressings with disinfectant ointments.
