Stricture of bile ducts

The structure of the bile ducts - cicatricial narrowing - occurs as a result of pressure ulcers by the stone or damage during the operation on the biliary tract. In one case, 300-500 operations on the biliary tract and 100 operations with low duodenal ulcers damage the bile ducts.

Symptoms. Jaundice that has arisen after surgery, or a permanent external biliary fistula, chills of achiolia, dyspepsia, weight loss. Only 5% of the lesions are recognized during the operation, most only after 2 months, sometimes later. In the latter case, the nature and description of the performed operation, chills and jaundice, an increase in alkaline phosphatase and leukocytosis, are important in diagnosis. Radiographically, with percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography and endoscopic retrograde ho-langmo- pancreatography through the duodenoscope, localization of the stricture can be detected. Differential diagnosis is carried out with residual stones of ducts, papillitis, cancer of the large papilla of the duodenum or head of the pancreas.

Treatment operative, the nature of the operation depends on the extent and extent of the stricture.

The prognosis is serious.
