Botanical characteristic. Perennial herb up to 40 cm high. Grows on dry sandy soils.
The rhizome is short, slightly branched, with thin light roots. The stalk is straight with the remains of dead leaves. Leaves basal short-leaved, oblong-ovate, stem - sessile linear-lanceolate. The flowers are yellow or orange, collected in corymbose inflorescences. The fruits are small, brown achenes. It blooms in June - July, bears fruit in August - September.
