Botanical characteristic. Araliaceae family. Perennial shrub, prickly, about 1 m high, with straight trunks. The bark is light gray. Zamaniha has a long rhizome, from which small thick roots of a cord-shaped form extend. The leaves are long-leaved, rounded, up to 35 cm in diameter, palmate. Light greenish flowers are collected in weakly branched panicles. It blooms in June and July. The fruits are bright, reddish-orange in color, spherical in shape. Ripen in August – September.
Spread. It is found in coniferous and birch forests of the Primorsky Territory.

Rhizomes with roots collected during fruit ripening.
The roots and rhizomes of the high temptation contain essential oil, which includes phenols, alcohols and aldehydes, free acids and hydrocarbons, as well as saponins (echinoxosides) and alkaloids.
Application. As a stimulant for asthenia, depression, hypotension, sexual weakness, diabetes, as well as for physical and mental overwork.

Cooking. In pharmacies, tincture of zamanicha is sold. Take 30-40 drops 2-3 times a day before meals. The course of treatment is 1-2 months.
