Botanical characteristics. The family is fake. A beautiful tree up to 28 m high with a branchy crown and a yellow-gray bark. Leaves are cordate, long-petioled, yellow-green in color, below - lighter. Flowers are light yellow, fragrant, collected in inflorescences-semi-zootech. Blossoms in June-July. Fruit is a single-seeded nut, ripens in July-August.
Spread. It is fairly widespread in the European part of the country, in the Urals, in Western Siberia, in the mountains of the Caucasus. Prefers fertile soils.

In the inflorescences of the lime, glycoside is found: tiliacin, flavone glycoside, tannins, saponins, mucus, vitamins, sugars and wax.
A pleasant specific smell of lime is caused by essential oil, consisting mainly of sesquiterpene aliphatic alcohol farnesol. In lime color there is a specific glycoside, which has a diaphoretic effect.
Application.
