AUTOINTOXICATION - self -poisoning of the body with poisonous substances, which are produced by it for some violations of normal life activity or accumulate in various diseases.

Retention autointoxication occurs when impaired excretory processes (for example, with kidney disease), accompanied by a delay in the body metabolic products; Resorption autointoxication - with the absorption of toxic products formed during suppuration, decay of tissues or absorption of rotting products from the intestine (with prolonged constipation, intestinal obstruction). Exchange auto-toxicity is associated with a metabolic disorder, which is observed in a number of endocrine diseases (eg, hypothyroidism, diabetes). In infectious diseases, autointoxication is noted, due to the accumulation of bacterial toxins in the body.

With autointoxication, malaise, a feeling of weakness, fever , headache , dizziness , anorexia , nausea , vomiting , tachycardia , arterial hypotension, sometimes total weight loss and lowering the body's resistance can be observed.

Treatment is aimed at eliminating the cause that caused auto-toxicity; They also carry out measures that promote the removal of toxic substances from the body (enhancement of the excretory capacity of the body through the use of sweatshops, diuretics and laxatives).
