RASTERANNOST. In psychiatric practice, confusion is understood not as a domestic "embarrassment from strong excitement", but acute mental disorder, which is characterized by distractibility of attention with affect of perplexity and painful misunderstanding of both one's own state and what is happening around. Confusion usually precedes the development of a marked disturbance of consciousness with delusional experiences right up to the development of the onyroid syndrome. Immediate hospitalization, intramuscular administration of antipsychotics (aminazine up to 2 -4 ml) and mandatory enhanced monitoring of the patient by nursing staff are indicated.
