STEREOTYPES - involuntary, repeated repetition of patients with monotonous, meaningless movements or individual words, often meaningless phrases. Motor stereotypy is observed with organic lesions of the brain, with catatonic schizophrenia, twilight confusion of consciousness. Speech stereotypy is most typical for senile psychoses (especially with Pick's disease).
