The theory of Feng Shui

The basis of Feng Shui (as in all traditional Chinese arts and sciences - medicine, astrology, acupuncture, martial arts) is the doctrine of Qi - pure energy or life force that gives life to all living creatures on our planet.

Feng Shui specialist task to determine the direction of flow of Qi, to use them for human benefit, which will allow him to live in peace, harmony and happiness. Unfortunately, in our society there is a perception that Feng Shui is a set of prejudices and superstitions, and even there the view when it is referred to the religious sects.

In fact, this is a serious art or science that studies the energy flows and their impact on man and his vital functions. It is bordered by geography, ecology, astronomy, medicine, architecture, psychology and design. Feng Shui theory fully confirms the conclusions of scientists on the impact of terrestrial magnetism on human health and livelihoods, and is built on clear laws, formulas and principles.

Man perceives very sensitively Qi flows emanating from Heaven and Earth, but he is able to create the energy of Qi, by their behavior, aura, thoughts and actions. What largely influences his destiny and life. That is why the purity of thoughts and proper behavior is the key to a happy life.

My teacher likes to say that the stars only help good people. Qi energy arises due to the interaction of the original natural forces of yin and yang, which symbolize harmony, constantly interact and give rise to cyclical changes in our life. These forces are opposed to each other, but the balance between them creates harmony in our lives. It should be noted that it - two sides of the whole, and they never exist separately. At a certain symbol of "yin-yang" shows that in fact the pair - one, and in order to further emphasize the idea inconceivability one start without the other, each half a point of the opposite color. This theory is central to the Chinese philosophy of nature, and all others are subordinate to it.

No school has not yet brought a specific definition of these forces. But the huge lists of correspondences were made in a long time the existence of the Chinese metaphysical system.

In the East, the left side of the body is considered yang, because it is the left heart. To determine the character of the movement, it is necessary to judge to which the movement is directed.

For example, the direction from the bottom up - yang, because it turned up (Yang).

From the inside out - and yang; from outside to inside - Yin.

The energies of yin and yang interact with each other through the movement of five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. The five elements are in constant interaction, produce and destroy each other in a certain sequence. This system is called the U-syn. That literally sounds like "five movements" or "5 rotations."

generation cycle (in the picture indicated by green arrows): fire creates soil, soil produces metal, metal produces water, Water feeds the tree, and the tree of life contributes to the fire. The cycle of destruction of elements takes place in a different order (in the picture indicated by red arrows): wood destroys the soil (roots are destroying the earth), the soil breaks down the water (soaking it), water extinguishes fire, fire melts metal and metal chops wood. According to the laws of the Chinese metaphysics, these five elements correspond to the length of time, the cardinal, substances, bodies of human feelings, colors, emotions, seasons.

Knowing these correspondences, it is possible to influence the energy of the space and create a favorable environment for the person. Like the forces of yin and yang qi energy, "five elements" are not physical substances: it is rather energetic substances that determine the character of all objects in the universe.

In order to better understand the interaction of elements, let's look at the characteristics of each.

The cycle of mutual-generation elements (called Mother-Child) begins with the element tree, which symbolizes growth, progress, and is characterized by the movement from the bottom up. As the trees in nature are drawn to the sun and wood energy is in motion. Energy wood corresponds to the season Spring.

In its place comes the energy of Fire, a very strong, energetic, which extends from the center to the periphery. The clearest example of the element of Fire is sunlight. Proper use of this element brings a man wisdom, initiative, good reputation and credibility. But if the fire becomes uncontrollable, it can become a destructive element and destroy all life. This element corresponds to the summer season.

For the element of fire should the Earth. It concentrates, absorbs, and its energy is directed from the periphery to the center. A striking example of the manifestation of the Earth energy can be gravity. Earth gives peace, stability, and reliability. The energies of the earth correspond to the off-season.

metal energy coming autumn. Metal makes movement in a spiral or circle, and the quality of it appear in the order, cleanliness, clear boundaries, the metal helps to focus and concentrate.

Rounding cycle - water energy. It symbolizes freedom, wisdom, social activity, financial stability. It is as strong and invincible as the energy of Fire. And inept use of this energy can lead to depression, depression, loss of finances and even serious diseases. Water corresponds to winter.

The quality of the relationship between the elements will depend on their strength. For example, Metal overcomes Wood, but if the tree is strong, then the metal will not be able to cope with it. Metal generates water, but if he is weak, the water does not appear. The strength and weakness of the element depends on the phase in which it is located.

Five Phases of the five elements:

1. flowering phase (when the element is the strongest).

for wood - it is spring,

for Fire - this summer,

for metals - is the autumn,

Water - it is winter.

2. The contact phase or assistant (assistant is the one who creates).

for wood - it's winter

for Fire - it is spring,

For metals - this summer,

Water - this autumn.

3. Phase of rest (when the element gives its strength).

for wood - this summer,

for Fire - this autumn,

For metals - it is winter,

Water - it is spring.

4. conclusion of phase (when the element is overcome, controlled).

for wood - this autumn,

for Fire - it is winter,

For metals - this summer,

Water - is the last 18 days of each season (Soil).

5. Phase of death (when the element breaks or overcomes himself).

for wood - it is the last 16 days of each season (soil)

for Fire - this autumn,

For metals - it is spring,

Water - this summer.

If we go back to the match table (Figure 2), we can project the relationship between elements on the emotions example.

Anger generates joyousness, joy begets melancholy, brooding produces sadness, sorrow breeds fear.

Kindness begets correct behavior, correct behavior generates faith, faith creates the conscience, the conscience of the mind creates and the mind porozh¬daet kindness.

There is not a factor in space and in time, wherever they operate at the same time all the five elements.

If this scheme to apply at the social level, we get the following:

The fact that we generate - children, that man loves his hobbies.

What we destroy - the wife or money.

What destroys us - it is a system of society, government officials, the invisible sphere of influence, which limits human.

That creates us - this is our family, mother, parents, and our ancestors.

Equal elements we - are brothers, friends and competitors or rivals.

U-xing system in turn superimposed on Hae-squares and the Luo Shu, which are numerological matrix, which are based on "magic" square.

Hae-it takes the five cells, each of which corresponds to a pair of natural numbers from 1 to 10. The numbers in pairs differ by 5 (1 and 6, 2 and 7, etc.). The first five (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) "generate numbers" (sheng y), second five (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) - "forming the number" (cheng shu). These numerical elements of the Hae-can be correlated to the eight trigrams, the five elements, the five parties of the world.

On Earth, the four produces Metal, in heaven nine finishes it.

Five On Sky creates soil on Earth ten finishes it.

Lo Shu is a square of nine cells. Adding to it the number of adjacent counter-clockwise, and each time, using as the first term on the amount received, can obtain the following order numbers: 1 + 6 = 7; 7 + 2 = 9, and then, dropping to the sum of ten: 9 + 4 = 13; 13 - 10 = 3; 8 + 3 = 11; 11 - 10 = 1.

There is an extended version of the Luo Shu, to 8x8 square with the magic constant sum of 260, which is filled with 64 hexagrams. The Lo Shu square of each number corresponds to a specific element.
