A five-second video is detected, which causes any iOS device to hang
A meaningless 5-second recording sends Apple gadgets into a deep "hibernation."
On the last week, the allApplePro and iDeviceHelps have shown a new way to bypass the iPhone lock screen with the help of Siri's assistant. And now the author of the channel EverythingApplePro discovered another strange problem concerning Apple devices.
We strongly do not recommend that you check these bugs on your gadgets, unless you want them to turn into "bricks".
EverythingApplePro has published a new video in which it demonstrates how iOS-gadgets hang up, after the opening of an ordinary five-second video.
An interesting fact is that the movie is capable of "breaking" the device, even if it is played in a messenger, in a third-party browser and other programs. The cause of the problem is still unknown. Since the bug is manifested on both the iPhone and the iPad, we can assume that the vulnerability lies in iOS.
What exactly causes the problem is not known for sure, but, apparently, the video file is corrupted in a very specific way, which causes a loop (cyclic error) that quickly absorbs all the resources of the device. Verge journalists, who tested the bug on a lot of devices, write that the problem seems to appear only when the user clicks on the link that leads to the malicious video, but does not occur if the file itself is transferred.
To fix this situation, the hard reset of the gadget helps : you need to hold down the Home button and the Power button for a few seconds . After that, the gadget will continue to work as usual.
Although in the original example EverythingApplePro the link was posted at https://vk.com/doc9732001_439143039?hash=01ec13630a10030bea&dl=2cde6a532028d603af , from there the file has already been deleted (although judging by the graph below, it was viewed several hundred thousand times). However, nothing prevents users from re-uploading the file to other hosting companies and continue to send it to friends, as many people think that this is a very funny prank.

Apparently, no other effects, except hang, the roller on the device does not. Nevertheless, experts strongly do not recommend clicking on all links in a row in the coming days, since the problem still may reveal other consequences.
More about iOS bugs
Never and under no circumstances put on your gadget date January 1, 1970 , because it will lead to irreparable consequences and you say goodbye to your apple friend forever. The error was found in devices running iOS 8 with 64-bit processors. After installing the date in the iPhone settings on January 1, 1970 and rebooting the device, the iPhone will never boot again. The Apple logo will constantly be on the screen and nothing will happen later. Entering the phone into DFU mode (firmware update mode - Ed.), Or connecting the gadget to the computer can not fix this situation. If you still decided to experiment with your phone, you can say goodbye to it forever.
However, some network users claim that the situation can be fixed by repairing the phone, namely removing and installing the battery, or replacing the SIM card.
