Five-second video detected that causes any iOS device to hang
Senseless 5-second recording sends Apple gadgets into deep hibernation.
Last week, YouTube EverythingApplePro and iDeviceHelps showed a new way to bypass the iPhone lock screen with the help of Siri assistant. And here the author of the channel EverythingApplePro discovered another strange problem regarding Apple devices.
We strongly advise you not to check these bugs on your gadgets, unless of course you want them to turn into "bricks".
EverythingApplePro has posted a new video in which he demonstrates how iOS gadgets hang tight after opening an ordinary five-second video.
An interesting fact is that the movie is able to "break" the device, even if it is reproduced in the messenger, in a third-party browser and other programs. The cause of the problem is not yet known. Since the bug is manifested on both iPhone and iPad, it can be assumed that the vulnerability is in iOS.
What exactly causes the problem is not known for certain, but, apparently, the video file is damaged in a very specific way, which causes a loop (cyclic error) that quickly absorbs all the resources of the device. Verge journalists, who have tested the bug on multiple devices, write that the problem seems to manifest itself only when the user clicks on the link leading to the malicious video, but does not occur if you transfer the file itself.
The “hard” reboot of the gadget helps to rectify the situation : hold the “Home” button and the “Power” button for several seconds . After that, the gadget will continue to work as usual.
Although in the original example, the EverythingApplePro link was placed at https://vk.com/doc9732001_439143039?hash=01ec13630a10030bea&dl=2cde6a532028d603af , from there the file was already deleted (although judging by the chart below, it was viewed several hundred thousand times). However, nothing prevents users from perezalit file on other hosting and continue to send it to friends, as many people think that this is a very funny prank.

Apparently, no other effects, except for lag, the roller on the device does not have. Nevertheless, the experts do not recommend to click on all the links in a row in the coming days, as the problem may still have other consequences.
More about iOS bugs
Never, under any circumstances, put the date of January 1, 1970 on your gadget , because it will lead to irreparable consequences and you will say goodbye to your apple friend forever. The error was found in devices running iOS 8 with 64-bit processors. After setting the date of January 1, 1970 in the iPhone settings and rebooting the device, the iPhone will never boot again. The Apple logo will be constantly on the screen and nothing will happen next. Entering the phone in DFU mode (firmware update mode - Ed.), Or connecting a gadget to a computer is not able to correct this situation. If you still decide to experiment with your phone, you can say goodbye to him forever.
However, some network users claim that the situation can be fixed by repairing the phone, namely, removing and replacing the battery, or replacing the SIM card.
