1 These are the children of Israel according to the number of them, the heads of the families, the captains of thousands, and hundreds of rulers and stewards, who by offices served the king in all matters, coming and going every month, in all the months of the year. In each department there were twenty-four thousand of them.
2 Above the first branch, for the first month, was Isasham the son of Zabdiel; In his department there were twenty-four thousand;
3 He [was] of the sons of Pharez, chief over all the commanders in the first month.
4 Above the separation of the second month was Dodai Akhoian; In the department there was also Prince Miklof, and in his department there were twenty-four thousand.
5 The third chief commander, for the third month, Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, the priest, and in his ward was twenty-four thousand:
6th This Benaiah was one of the thirty brave and superior over them, and Ammisabad his son was in his department.
7th The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel the brother of Joab, and after him Zabadiah his son, and in his division twenty-four thousand.
8 Fifth, for the fifth month, Prince Shamhuf Izrahitian, and in his department twenty-four thousand.
9 The sixth, for the sixth month, Ira, the son of Ikkesh, the Fekoian, and in his department twenty-four thousand.
10 The seventh, for the seventh month, Helz the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim, and in his division twenty-four thousand.
eleven The eighth, for the eighth month, Sowohai the Khushatyan, from the tribe of Zara, and in his department twenty-four thousand.
12 The ninth, for the ninth month, Abiezer the Anathotian, of the sons of Benjamin, and in his division twenty-four thousand.
13 The tenth, for the tenth month, Magarai Netofahan, from the tribe of Zara, and in his division twenty-four thousand.
14 The eleventh, for the eleventh month, Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim, and in his division twenty-four thousand.
15 The twelfth, for the twelfth month, Heldai the Netofah, from the descendants of Othniel, and in his division twenty-four thousand.

16 And over the tribes of Israel, - in Reuben, chief chief [was] Eliezer, son of Zichri; In Simeon, Safatiah the son of Maachah;
17th Levi has Hashabiah, the son of Kemuel; Aaron has Zadok;
18 Judah is Eliab, of the brethren of David; Beside Issachar, Omri, the son of Michael;
19 Beside Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah; At Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel;
20 Among the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah; In the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Fedadiah;
21 The half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead-Iddo, the son of Zechariah; In Benjamin, Jahshiel the son of Abner;
22 Dana has Azariah, the son of Jeroham. These are the leaders of the tribes of Israel.
23 David did not count those who were from twenty years old and lower, because the Lord said that He would multiply Israel as the stars of heaven.
24 Joab, the son of Zeruiah, began to number, but did not finish. And for this was the wrath of God against Israel, and that number was not included in the annals of King David.
25 Above the treasures of the king was Azmaveth the son of Adiel, and over stocks in the field, in the cities, and in the villages and in the towers, Jonathan the son of Uzziah;
26th Over those engaged in field work, farming - Ezri, the son of Helow;
27th Over vineyards - Shimei from Rama, and over the store of wine in the vineyards - Zavdi from Shefam;
28 Above the olive trees and fig trees in the valley is the Baal Hanan the Gederite, and over the stocks of the wood oil is Joas;
29 Over the cattle grazing in Sharon - Shitray Sharonyan, and over the cattle in the valleys - Shafat, Adlai's son;
thirty Over the camels - Ovil Ismailian; Over the asses - Iehdiya the Meronite;
31 Over small animals - Jaziz the Agarite. All these were rulers over the property that was with King David.
32 Jonathan, Uncle David, was an adviser, an intelligent man and scribe; Jehiel the son of Hahmoniah, was with the sons of the king;
33 Ahithophel was the king's counselor; Husiy the Archite - a friend of the king;
34 After Ahithophel, Jehoiada, the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar, and Joab was the captain of the king.
