Kings 13

The year was on the accession of Saul, and the next year he reigned over Israel, Saul chose himself as the three thousand out of Israel:
two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in the Mount of Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin; and the rest of the people he sent to their homes.
And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba; and the Philistines heard of it, and Saul blew the trumpet throughout the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear!
When all Israel heard that Saul had defeated the garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel had become odious to the Philistines, the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.
And the Philistines gathered to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and they came and camped in Michmash, east of Beth-Aven.
Israel saw that they were in danger, because the people were distressed, hid themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in the towers, and in pits;
and [some] of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead; Saul was still in Gilgal, and all the people that were with him, was in awe.

And he waited seven days, until the time [appointed] Samuel, and Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
And Saul said, Bring me that [appointed] for burnt offerings and peace offerings. And offered burnt offerings.
But as soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, to greet him.
eleven And Samuel said, What hast thou done? Saul answered, I saw that the people were scattered from me, and you did not come at the appointed time; Now the Philistines gathered together at Michmash;
Then I thought, `Now the Philistines will come to me at Gilgal, and I have not inquired of the Lord ', and therefore offered a burnt offering.
And Samuel said to Saul, You have done foolishly, not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established your kingdom over Israel forever;
but now the kingdom shall not continue; The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

And Samuel arose and went up from Gilgal to Gibeah of Benjamin; And Saul numbered the people that were with him, about six hundred men.
Saul and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in Gibeah of Benjamin; The Philistines encamped in Michmash.
And they went out of the camp of the Philistines three companies to the devastation of the earth, one went on the road to Ophrah, in the District of SUAL,
another company turned the way to Bethhoron, and the third went on the road to the border-Lipschitz valley to the desert.
Kuznetsov was not in all the land of Israel; for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make swords or spears.
And we had to walk all the Israelites to the Philistines to sharpen their plowshares, and their spades, and his ax, and his mattock,
When done nick on the edge of the coulters, and shovels, and the forks, and the axes, and to sharpen the goads.
Therefore, there was no sword in the war, nor the spear with all the people that were with Saul and Jonathan, but [only] they found Saul and his son Jonathan.
And the Philistines came the vanguard of the crossing Mihmasskoy.
