One of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and you know that your servant feared the LORD; the creditor is come to take my two sons to be bondmen.
And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? Tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not anything in the house except a pot of oil.
And he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbors, even empty vessels; Score a lot,
and go out, shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and pour out into all those vessels; is full.
So she went from him, and shut the door behind her and her sons. They fed her and she poured.
When the vessels were full, she said to her son: Bring me yet a vessel. He told her: no more vessels. And the oil stayed.
And she came and told the man of God. He said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and that will remain, so you will live with your sons.

One day Elisha came to Sonam. There's a rich woman begged him [to her], to eat bread; and when he was held nor always went there to eat bread.
And she said to her husband, Behold now, I know that the man of God, which passeth by us continually holy;
make a small upper room on the wall and set for him there a bed, and a table, and a seat, and a candlestick; and when he will come to us, let comes back.
eleven One day he came there, and went into the chamber, and lay there,
and he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. So he called her, and she stood before him.
And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, you care so much about us; that would make you? I do not need to talk about you with the king or commander? ' She said, no, I live among his people.
And he said: What did it? And Gehazi said, but my son is not with her, and her husband is old.
And he said, Call her. He called her, she stood in the doorway.
And he said, after a year, at this time you will embrace a son. And she said, No, my lord, man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.
And the woman conceived and bore a son in the next year, at the same time, as Elisha had told her.

And the child grew, and one day came to his father, to the reapers.
And he said to his father: My head! My head hurts! And he said to his servant, Carry him to his mother.
And he had taken him and brought him to his mother. And he sat on her knees till noon, and died.
And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut it, and went out,
and called her husband and said, Send me one of the servants and one of the asses, I'm going to the man of God, and come again.
He said, why do you go to him? today is not a new moon or a Saturday. But she said good.
Then she saddled the donkey and told her servant, Drive and go forward; do not stop until I tell you.
And she went and came to the man of God to Mount Carmel. And when the man of God saw her from afar, he said to his servant Gehazi, is that Shunammite.
Shoots to meet her and say to her, 'Are you well? it well with thy husband? whether the child is healthy? ' --It Said healthy.
When she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet. And Gehazi came to thrust her away; but the man of God said: Let her alone, for her soul is grieved, and the LORD hath hid it from me and not told me.
And she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? Did I not say, 'Do not deceive me'?
And he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins and take my staff in your hand, and go thy way; If you meet anyone, do not greet him, and if someone will greet you, do not answer him; and lay my staff on the child's face.
thirty And the mother of the child said: As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth! I will not leave you. And he arose and went after her.
Gehazi passed on before them and laid the staff on the child's face. But there was no voice, no answer. And he went out to meet him, and told him, and said child is not awaked.
And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, laid upon his bed.
And he went in and shut the door behind him and prayed to the Lord.
And he went up and lay upon the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child's body.
And he arose, and walked in the house to and fro; then he got up again and stretched himself. And the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
And he called Gehazi and said, Call this Shunammite. And he called her. She came to him, and he said: Take up thy son.
Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed to the ground; and she took up her son and went out.

Elisha returned to Gilgal. And there was a famine in the land, and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him. And he said to his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and he came and shred them into the pot of pottage, for they knew [them].
And they have poured. But they soon began to eat stew, that they cried out, saying, death in the pot, man of God! And they could not eat.
And he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot and said, [Gehazi] pour people, that they may eat. And there was nothing harmful in the pot.
Came a man from Baal-Shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits - twenty loaves of barley and raw corn in the husk. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
And his servitor said, What, should I give a hundred men? And he said, Give the people, that they may eat, for thus says the LORD: `shall be filled, and remain."
He gave it to them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the Lord.
