The elder - beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
Beloved! I pray that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified about your truth, as you walk in truth.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Beloved! you as a faithful behaving in what you are doing for the brothers, and to strangers.
They have testified before the church about your love. You do well to release them, as it should for the sake of God,
For his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
So we have to take those to be fellow workers of truth.

I wrote to the church; but they excel loving Diotrephes, receiveth us not.
Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content with that, and he did not receive the brethren, and forbiddeth, and casteth out of the church.
eleven Beloved! do not imitate evil, but good. He who does good is of God; He who does evil has not seen God.

Demetrius witnessed by all and by the truth itself; We witness as we do, and you know that our testimony is true.
I had many things to write; but I do not want to write to you with ink and pen
and I hope to see you soon and talk face to face. (1-15) Peace be with you. The friends greet you; Greet the friends by name. Amen.
