Some men came down from Judea, taught the brethren, Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, ye can not be saved.
When there is disagreement, and considerable competition from Paul and Barnabas with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go for these things to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem.
So, when he spend the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brethren.
Upon arrival to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, the apostles and elders, and they declared all that God had done with them, and that opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.
But some of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying that is necessary to circumcise [the Gentiles], and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

The apostles and elders came together to consider of this matter.
Been much disputing, Peter rose up and said to them: Men, brethren! you know what days God made choice among us [me], that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe;
And God gave them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit as to us;
and put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
As ye tempt God, [wanting] to place the yoke on the necks of the disciples, which could not bear neither our fathers nor we?
eleven But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
Then all was quiet meeting and listened to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.
And after they were silent, James answered, saying: Men, brethren! listen to me.
Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
And to this agree the words of the prophets, as it is written:
Then he will return and build again the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and that it is destroyed, build again, and will set it up,
to the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.
Known to God from eternity are all His works.
Therefore, I believe not impede turning to God from among the Gentiles,
and write to them to abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, from things strangled, and from blood not to do to others what you do not want to imagine.
For the [law] Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.

Then the apostles and elders with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; [namely], Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren,
writing and presenting them with the following: `The apostles and elders and brethren - in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia who are from the Gentiles to rejoice.
Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you [his] words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
we gathered, with one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:
abstain from meats offered to idols, and blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication, and do not do to others what you yourself do not want to. Fare ye well. Be sensible. "
thirty So, we sent came to Antioch and, gathering people, they delivered the letter.
They had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, abundant word of instruction taught the brethren, and confirmed them.
After staying there [some] time, they were let go in peace by the brothers to the apostles.
But Silas to stay there. (And Judas returned to Jerusalem.)
Paul and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching, with many others also, the word of the Lord.

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, how they live.
Barnabas wanted to take with them John called Mark.
But Paul thought not good to take departed from them in Pamphylia and was walking with them to the work for which they were sent.
It was grief, so that they separated from each other; and Barnabas took Mark, and sailed to Cyprus;
And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God,
And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
