When we parted with them, we sailed, then we came straight to Kos, the next day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara,
And finding a ship going to Phenicia, they went up to him and sailed away.
In view of Cyprus and leaving it to the left, we sailed to Syria, and landed at Tire, for here it was necessary to lay the cargo off the ship.
And finding disciples, they stayed there for seven days. They, according to the Spirit, told Paul not to go to Jerusalem.
After these days, we went out and went, and we were seen off with wives and children, even out of town; And on the shore, kneeling down, prayed.
th And saying goodbye to each other, we entered the ship, and they returned home.
th We, after swimming, arrived from Tire to Ptolemais, where, after greeting brothers, they stayed with them for one day.

And the next day Paul and we, who were with him, came out, came to Caesarea, and, having entered the house of Philip the evangelist, one of the seven [deacons], remained with him.
He had four daughter daughters, prophesying.
While we stayed with them many days, a certain prophet came from Judah, named Agabus,
eleven And he went in to us, took the girdle of Paul, and bound his hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost: the man whose this belt, so shall the Jews in Jerusalem bind in the hands of the Gentiles.
When we heard this, both we and the people asked him not to go to Jerusalem.
But Paul answered, "What are you doing?" Why do you weep and break my heart? I not only want to be a prisoner, but I am willing to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
When we could not persuade him, we calmed down, saying: "Let the will of the Lord be done!"

After these days, when we were ready, we went to Jerusalem.
Some of the disciples from Caesarea came with us, escorting [us] to some long-time student, Mnason Kipryanin, from whom we could live.
th Upon our arrival in Jerusalem, the brothers welcomed us cordially.
The next day Paul came with us to Jacob; Came and all the elders.
Welcoming them, [Paul] told in detail what God created among the Gentiles by his ministry.
And when they had heard, they glorified God, and said unto him, See, brother, how many thousands of Jews that believe, and they are all zealots of the law.
And they heard of you, that you of all the Jews who live among the Gentiles, are teaching the apostasy from Moses, saying that they do not circumcise their children and do not follow the customs.
So what? The people will surely be gathered; For they will hear that you have come.
Do what we tell you: we have four people who have a vow.
Having taken them, purify yourself with them, and take upon yourself the cost of [sacrifice] for them to shave your head, and learn all that they have heard about you unfairly, but that you yourself continue to observe the law.
And we wrote about believing pagans, putting that they did not observe anything of this kind, but only kept themselves from idol-sacred, from blood, from strangulation and from fornication.
th Then Paul, taking those men and purifying himself with them, the next day entered the temple and announced the end of the days of purification, when the offering should be brought for each of them.

th But when the seven days were ended, then the Asiatic Jews, seeing him in the temple, angered all the people and laid hands on him,
Shouting: Men of Israel, help! This man teaches everyone everywhere against the people and the law and this place; Moreover, he brought Greeks into the temple and desecrated this holy place.
For before that they saw Trofim the Ephesian with him in the city and thought that Paul had brought him into the temple.
thirty The whole city was set in motion, and the confluence of the people was made; And, having seized Paul, dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were locked.
When they wanted to kill him, the leader of the regiment reached the news that the whole of Jerusalem was indignant.
He immediately took the soldiers and centurions, rushed at them; They, having seen the commander-in-chief and soldiers, stopped beating Pavel.
Then the captain, coming near, took him and ordered him to be tied up with two chains, and asked: who is he and what did he do.
Among the people, some shouted one thing and the other shouted. He could not, because of the turmoil, learn anything true, ordered him to lead him to the fortress.
When he was on the stairs, the soldiers had to carry him because of the embarrassment of the people,
For the multitude of the people followed and cried out: death to him!
At the entrance to the fortress, Paul said to the commander-in-chief: Can I tell you something? And he said: Do you know Greek?
So are you not that Egyptian who before these days had made indignation and led four thousand men of robbers into the wilderness?
And Paul said, "I am a Jew, Tarsus, a citizen of the notorious city of Cilicia; I beg you, let me speak to the people.
When he allowed, Paul, standing on the stairs, gave a sign to the people with his hand; And when there was a deep silence, he began to speak in Hebrew as follows:
