Israel - an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: the more his fruit he hath increased the altars; The better his land, the more they adorn idols.
Their heart is divided, for they will be punished: He will destroy their altars, crush their idols.
Now they say, `We have no king, because we feared not the Lord; and the king, he --What do we? '
Say the word [blank], swear falsely, conclude alliances; for what will be a trial of them, like poisonous weeds in the furrows of the field.
For the calf of Beth Aven inhabitants of Samaria tremble; mourn for him his people, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, will cry for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
It shall be carried to Assyria, a gift to the king Jareb: Ephraim shall be ashamed of shame, and Israel of his own counsel.
As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam on the water surface.
And it shall be cut off height of Aven, the sin of Israel; Thorns and thistles will grow on their altars, and they will say to the mountains, 'Cover us', and to the hills, 'Fall on us'.

More than in the days of Gibeah, you have sinned, Israel; there they stood; the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
At the request of my visit them, and the nations will gather against them, and they will be bound for their double crime.
eleven Ephraim - trained heifer accustomed to thresh, and I myself will put a yoke on his neck fat; Ephraim will be on the ride; Judah shall plow, Jacob shall break his clods.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, that he come and rain righteousness upon you.
You have plowed wickedness, reaped iniquity, eaten the fruit of lies, because you trusted in your way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
A tumult among your people, and all thy fortresses shall be destroyed, as Shalman destroyed Beth Arbel in the day of battle: the mother was killed with children.
This is what will cause you Bethel for the extreme wickedness of yours.
