Isaiah 7

And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah king of Judah, Rezin the king of Syria, and the son of Remaliah the king of Israel, and the son of Ramalli, went against Jerusalem to conquer him, but could not conquer him.
And it was told to the house of David, and it was said, "The Syrians have settled in the land of Ephraim." And his heart and the heart of his people wavered, as they waver from the wind of a tree in the forest.
And the Lord said to Isaiah, "Come forth, you and your son Shear-yasuv to meet Ahaz, to the end of the aqueduct of the upper pond, to the road to the belting field,
And say unto him: Watch and be calm; Do not be afraid and let your heart fail from the two ends of these steaming smut, from the burning wrath of Rezin and the Syrian and the son of Remaliyin.
Syria, Ephraim and the son of Remaliah plot evil against you, saying:
th Let us go up against Judah and rebuke her, and take possession of her, and put the son of Taveilov in her.
th But the Lord God says: This will not happen and it will not come to pass;
For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; And in sixty-five years Ephraim shall cease to be a people;
And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you do not believe, then because you are not certified.

And the Lord went on speaking to Ahaz, and said:
eleven Ask for a sign to the Lord your God: ask in the depth, or at the height.
And Ahaz said: I will not ask, and will not tempt the Lord.
Then he said [Isaiah]: Hear, then, the house of David! Is it not enough for you to obstruct people, that you want to obstruct and my God?
So the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and they shall call his name Immanuel.
He will feed on milk and honey, until he understands the evil and chooses the good;
For before this babe understands to reject the evil and to choose the good, the land that you are afraid of will be abandoned by both her kings.

th But the LORD shall bring upon thee and thy people, and upon thy father's house, the days that have not come since the fall of Ephraim from Judah, will bring in the king of Assyria.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord will give a sign to the fly that is at the mouth of the river of Egypt, and the bee that is in the land of Assyria,
And all of them will arrive and settle down over the valleys deserted and over the clefts of the rocks, and over all the thorn bushes, and over all the trees.
On that day the Lord will shave the razor hired on the other side of the river by the king of Assyria, head and hair on his legs, and even take away his beard.
And it will be in that day: who will keep the cow and the two sheep,
For the abundance of milk that they will give, will eat the oil; Oil and honey will be fed by all that remain in this land.
And it shall come to pass in that day, in every place where a thousand vines grew for a thousand pieces of silver, there will be thorns and thorn bushes.
With arrows and bows they will go there, for the whole earth will be thorns and thorn bush.
And none of the mountains that were cleared by the furrows, you will not go, fearing the thorns and the prickly bush: the oxen will be driven out there, and the small cattle will trample on them.
