After a few days, at the time of the wheat harvest, Samson came to see his wife, bringing a kid with him; And when he said: "I will go in to my wife's bedroom," her father did not let him enter.
And her father said: I thought that you hated her, and I gave her to your friend; Behold, the younger sister is more beautiful than her; Let it be to you instead of it.
But Samson said to them: "Now I will be right with the Philistines, if I do them evil."
And Samson went, and caught three hundred foxes, and took torches, and bound the tail to the tail, and tied a torch between two tails;
And lit the torches, and set them on the harvest of the Philistines, and burnt both the stumps and the unsweetened bread, and the vineyards [and] the olive groves.
th And the Philistines said: Who did this? And they said: Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, for this one took his wife and gave it to his friend. And the Philistines went and burned her and her father's fire.
th Samson said to them: "Though you have done this, but I will avenge myself and then just calm down."
And he cut off their thighs and thighs, and went and sat down in the gorge of the rock Etama.

And the Philistines went up, and encamped in Judah, and stretched themselves to Lehi.
And the men of Judah said, "Why did you come up against us?" They said: we came to bind Samson to do with him, as he did to us.
eleven And three thousand men went up from Judah to the gorge of the rock of Etam, and said to Samson, "Do you not know that the Philistines rule over us?" That you did this to us? He said to them: as they did to me, so I did to them.
And they said unto him, We are come to bind thee, to give thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said to them: Swear to me that you will not kill me.
And they said to him: No, we will only bind you and give you into their hands, but we will not kill him. And they tied him with two new ropes and led him out of the gorge.
When he came to Leh, the Philistines met him with a cry. And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and the ropes that were in his hand became like flaxes burned, and his bands fell from his hands.
He found a fresh donkey's jaw and, reaching out his hand, took it, and killed her a thousand people.
And Samson said: with the jaws of an ass crowd, two crowds, I killed a thousand people with an ass's jaw.
th Having said this, he threw his jaw from his hand and called that place: Ramaf-Lehi.

And he felt a great thirst, and cried to the Lord, and said: "You have made a great salvation through the hand of your servant; But now I will die of thirst, and I will fall into the hands of the uncircumcised.
And God opened the pit in Lehi, and water flowed from it. He got drunk, and his spirit returned, and he revived; Therefore, the name of this place is called: "The Source of the Caller," which is in Lech to this day.
And he judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.
