Jeremiah 48

Of Moab, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: mount Nebo! He is devastated; Kariathaim is disgraced and taken; Mizgav is embarrassed and afflicted.
There is none greater than the glory of Moab; In Heshbon, they plot against him evil: `Let us go, we will destroy him from among the nations'. And you, Madman, will perish; The sword follows you.
A shout from Oronaim is heard, devastation and destruction are great.
Moab is crushed; Cry lifted his children.
On the ascent to Luhit, weeping after weeping rises; And on the descent from Oronaima the enemy hears a cry of ruin.
th Flee, save your life, and be like a naked tree in the desert.
th Since you had hoped for your deeds and your treasures, you will also be taken, and Hamos will go into captivity with his priests and his princes.
And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and the city shall not survive; And the valley shall perish, and the plain shall be desolate, as the Lord said.
Give the wings of Moab so that he may fly away; His cities will be a desolation, because there is no one to live in.
Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord carelessly, and cursed is he who keeps his sword from the blood!
eleven Moab from his youth was at rest, sat on his lees and was not poured from the vessel from the vessel, and did not go into captivity; Therefore the taste of him remained in him, and his scent did not change.
Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, when I send to him the overflowers that will pour him and empty his vessels, and shall break his jars.
And Moab shall be ashamed for the sake of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed for the sake of Bethel, his hope.

How do you say: "Are we brave and strong for war?"
Moab is devastated, and his cities are burning, and his chosen young men went to the slaughter, says the King, "The LORD of hosts is his name."
The destruction of Moab is near, and his calamity is in great haste.
th Have pity on him all his neighbors and everyone who knows his name, say: "How is the rod of strength broken, the staff of glory!"
Come down from the height of greatness and sit in thirst, the daughter is the inhabitant of Dibon, for the spoiler of Moab shall come to you and destroy your fortifications.
Stand by the road and see, inhabitant of Aroer, ask the fleeing and escaping: "what has become of it?"
He is ashamed of Moab, for he is broken; Weep and yell, declare in Arnon that Moab is devastated.
And the judgment came to the plains, to Halon and to Jahatsu, and to Mofath,
And to Dibon and to Nebo, and to Beth-Diblathaim,
And on Karifayim and on Bet-Gamul, and on Bet-Mahon,
And to Kerioth, and to Bozrah, and to all the cities of the land of Moab, distant and near.
The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, says the Lord.
th Sing him drunk, for he is exalted against the Lord; And let Moab roll in his vomit, and he himself will be a derision.
th Was not Israel a derision? Was he caught between thieves, that you used to just talk about him, shake your head?
Leave the cities and live on the rocks, the inhabitants of Moab, and be like doves that make nests in the entrance to the cave.
We have heard of the pride of Moab, the pride of excessive, of his arrogance and his arrogance, and his pride and the exaltation of his heart.
thirty I know his impertinence, says the Lord, but this is unreliable; Empty words of it: they will not do so.
Therefore I will weep for Moab and cry out for all Moab; Will sigh for the men of Kirchares.
I will weep over you, the vineyard of Sebama, with the weeping of Jazer; Your branches stretched out beyond the sea, reached the lake of Jazer; The devastator attacked your summer fruits and the ripe grapes.
Joy and mirth are taken from Carmel and from the land of Moab. I will put an end to the wine in the wine presses; No more trample in them with songs; The scream of battle will be, and not the cry of joy.
From the cry of Heshbon to Eleal and to Jahaz, they will raise their voice from Sigor to Horonaim, to the third Egla, for the waters of Nimrim will also run out.
I will consume from Moab, says the Lord, who offer sacrifices in the high places, and burnt to his gods.
Therefore my heart is groaning about Moab as a pipe. About the inhabitants of Cirhares, my heart is groaning like a pipe, for the riches they have acquired perished:
Each head has a goal and each beard is diminished; All have scratches on their hands and sackcloth on their loins.
On all the roofs of Moab, and in the streets thereof, is his mourning, for I have broken Moab like an indecent vessel, says the Lord.
`How broken he is! ' They will say sobbing; `How did Moab become ashamed, turning the rear? '. And Moab shall be a derision and a terror to all those around him,
For thus saith the Lord: Behold, as an eagle, he shall fly, and spread his wings over Moab.
The cities will be taken, and the fortresses conquered, and the heart of the brave Moabites will be on that day, like the heart of a woman, by tormented births.
And Moab shall be cut off from among the nations, because he rebelled against the Lord.
Horror and a pit and a noose - for you, a resident of Moab, said the Lord.
He who escapes terror will fall into a pit; But whosoever shall come out of the pit shall fall into a noose, for I will bring upon him, on Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.
Under the shadow of Heshbon, the fleeing stopped, exhausted; But fire went out from Heshbon and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and it devoured the side of Moab, and the crown of the sons of the rebellious.
Woe to you, Moab! The people of Khamos perished, for your sons were taken captive, and your daughters captive.
But in the last days I will bring back the captivity of Moab, says the Lord. Hitherto the judgment on Moab.
