John 16

These things I have told you, lest you be offended.
They will expel you from the synagogues; Even there comes a time when everyone who kills you will think that he is serving God.
So they will do, because they have not known the Father or Me.
But I have told you this so that when you come that time you will remember that I told you about it; I did not tell you this at first, because I was with you.
And now I go to him who sent me, and none of you asks me: where are you going?
th But because I told you this, your heart is filled with sorrow.

th But I tell you the truth: it is better for you that I go; If I do not go, the Comforter will not come to you; But if I go, I will send Him to you,
And he, coming, will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment:
About the sin that they do not believe in Me;
About the truth that I am going to my Father, and will no longer see Me;
eleven For judgment, that the prince of this world is condemned.
I still have much to say to you; But you can not bear it now.
When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth: for he will not speak of himself, but he will speak what he hears, and he will tell you the future.
He will glorify me, because he will take of mine and will tell you.
All that the Father has is Mine; Therefore I have said that he will take of mine and will tell you.

Soon you will not see Me, and again you will see Me, for I am going to the Father.
th Now some of His disciples said to one another, "What is this He that saith unto us: Shortly ye will not see Me, and again soon ye will see Me, and: I go to the Father?"
So they said: What does He say: "Soon"? We do not know what he is saying.
Jesus, knowing that they want to ask Him, said to them: "Do you ask one another about this, that I said," They will not see Me soon, and again you will soon see Me? "
Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye shall weep and mourn, but the world shall rejoice; You will be sad, but your sorrow will be in joy.
The woman, when she gives birth, endures sorrow, because her time has come; But when he gives birth to an infant, he no longer remembers sorrow for joy, because man was born into the world.
So you now have sorrow; But I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy from you;

And in that day you will not ask Me anything. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye ask the Father in my name, he will give you.
Until now, you have asked nothing in my name; Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
Hitherto, I have told you in parables; But the time has come when I will no longer speak to you in parables, but I will directly tell you about the Father.
th In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not tell you that I will ask the Father for you:
th For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.

I came from the Father and came into the world; And again I leave the world and go to the Father.
His disciples said to Him, "Behold, now You are speaking directly, and you do not say any parables."
thirty Now we see that You know everything and have no need for anyone to ask You. Therefore we believe that you have come from God.
Jesus answered them, "Now do you believe?"
Behold, the hour is coming, and it has already come that you will be scattered each to your own [one side] and leave me alone; But I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
These things I have spoken to you, that you may have peace in me. In the world you will have tribulation; But be of good cheer: I have conquered the world.
