After this, Jesus went to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, [in] the [vicinity] of Tiberias.
Many people followed him, because they saw the miracles that He did over the sick.
Jesus ascended the mountain and there sat with His disciples.
The Passover, the feast of the Jews, was approaching.
Jesus, raising his eyes and seeing that many people are coming to Him, says to Philip: "Where can we buy bread to feed them?"
th He said this, testing it; He knew what he wanted to do.
th Philip answered Him: they will not have enough bread for two hundred denarii, so that each of them gets a little bit of it.
One of His disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, says to Him:
Here is one boy five barley loaves and two fish; But what is that for so many?
Jesus said: Command them to sit down. There was a lot of grass in that place. So the number of people was about five thousand.
eleven Jesus took bread and gave thanks, gave to the disciples, and the disciples were reclining, as well as the fish, how many wanted.
And when they were satisfied, he said to his disciples: "Gather the remaining pieces, so that nothing is lost."
And they gathered and filled twelve baskets with pieces of five barley loaves left by those who ate.
Then people who saw the miracle created by Jesus said: this is truly the Prophet to whom He must come into the world.

Jesus, having learned that they want to come, inadvertently take it and make him king, again retired to the mountain alone.
When evening came, his disciples went to the sea
th And, entering the boat, went to the other side of the sea, to Capernaum. It was getting dark, but Jesus did not come to them.
A strong wind blew, and the sea was worried.
After sailing around twenty-five or thirty stages, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and approaching the boat, and they were frightened.
But He said to them, It is I; do not be afraid.
They wanted to take Him into the boat; And immediately the boat stuck to the shore, where they were sailing.

The next day the people who stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no one there except one boat, which included His disciples, and that Jesus did not enter the boat with His disciples, but only His disciples sailed.
Meanwhile, other boats came from Tiberias close to the place where they ate bread with the blessing of the Lord.
So, when the people saw that there was no Jesus, no disciples, they went into boats and sailed to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
And when they found Him on that side of the sea, they said to Him: Rabbi! When did you come here?
th Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye seek me, not because I have seen miracles, but because ye have eaten bread, and are filled.
th Try not for food perishable, but for food that is in eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, for on Him was the Father, God, sealed.

So they said to him, "What shall we do, to do the works of God?"
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
thirty And they said unto him, What sign are you that we should see and believe in you? what are you doing?
Our fathers ate manna in the wilderness, as it is written: He gave bread to them from heaven.
And Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses did not give you bread from heaven, but my Father gives you true bread from heaven.
For the bread of God is one that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
To this they said to Him: Lord! Give us always such bread.
And Jesus said unto them: I am the bread of life; He that cometh to me shall not hunger: and he that believeth in me shall never thirst.
But I told you that you also saw me, and do not believe.
Everything the Father gives me will come to Me; And he that cometh to me I will not cast out:
For I have come down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
And the will of the Father who sent me is that of that which He has given Me, that nothing should be destroyed, but that all should be resurrected on the last day.
The will of Him who sent me is that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him has eternal life; And I will raise him up at the last day.
The Jews rushed on him because he said: "I am the bread that came down from heaven."
And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whom we know the Father and the Mother? How does He say: I came down from heaven?
Jesus answered and said unto them, You shall not murmur among yourselves.
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; And I will raise him up at the last day.
The prophets write: and all will be taught by God. Everyone who has heard from the Father and has learned, comes to Me.
It is not that anyone sees the Father except the One who is of God; He saw the Father.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
I am the bread of life.
Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness and died;
The bread that comes down from heaven is such that the one who eats it will not die.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven; He who eats this bread will live forever; The bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Then the Jews began to argue with each other, saying: How can He give us His Flesh to eat?
And Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, If ye eat not the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, then ye shall not have life in you.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
For my flesh is truly food, and my blood is truly drink.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me, and I in him.
As the living Father sent me, and I live by the Father, so he who eats me will live by me.
This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers ate manna and died: he that eats this bread will live forever.
These things He spoke in the synagogue, teaching in Capernaum.

Many of His disciples, hearing this, said: what strange words! Who can listen to it?
But Jesus, knowing Himself in Himself, that His disciples murmur against it, said to them: Does this entice you?
Well, if you see the Son of Man ascendant, where was he before?
The Spirit gives life; The flesh does not benefit at all. The words that I tell you are spirit and life.
But there are some of you who do not believe in it. For from the beginning Jesus knew who were the unbelievers and who would betray Him.
And he said: For this reason I also told you that no one can come to me, if it is not given to him from my Father.
Since that time, many of His disciples have departed from Him and have not walked with Him.
Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will ye also go away?
Simon Peter answered Him: Lord! To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life:
And we believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Jesus answered them, "Have not I chosen you twelve?" But one of you is a devil.
This He said about Judas Simon Iscariot, for this one wanted to betray Him, being one of the twelve.
