How lonely sits the city that was full of people! he became as a widow; great among the nations, prince of provinces has become a tributary.
She weeps bitterly in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks. None to comfort her of all her lovers; all her friends have changed him become her enemies.
Judah into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest; all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.
The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the festival; all her gates are desolate; her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and bitterly to himself.
His enemies took charge, his enemies prosper, because the Lord had afflicted him a lot of grief for his iniquities; his children have gone into captivity before the enemy.
And departed from the daughter of Zion all her splendor; her princes - like deer that find no pasture; exhausted, they went before the pursuer.
Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her; the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.
Jerusalem sinned grievously, for and became disgusting; all that honored her, looking at him with contempt, because they have seen her nakedness; and he sighs and turns back.
On the hem of his uncleanness, but he did not think about the future of their own, and therefore extremely humiliated and had no comforter. `Behold, O LORD, my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself! '
The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things; it is seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.
eleven All her people sigh, they seek bread, given their pleasant things for food to relieve the soul. `Behold, O LORD, and see how I am humbled! '

Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? take a look and see if there is a disease, like my sorrow, which is done unto me, which the LORD afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger?
Above hath he sent fire into my bones, and he took possession of them; spread a net for my feet, he turned me made me desolate and faint all the day.
The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand; they are wreathed, and come up on my neck; He weakened my strength. The Lord hath delivered me into hands out of which I can not get up.
All my mighty Lord will destroy the midst of me, I called an assembly against me to crush my young men; as in a winepress the LORD hath trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah.
These things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because far from me comforter that should relieve my soul; my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.
Zion stretches out her hands, but none to comfort her. The Lord has commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him; Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.
The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against His word was. Listen, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.
I called for my friends, but they deceived me; my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost in the city, looking for their meat to relieve their souls.
Behold, O Lord, for me closely, worried me the inside, my heart is turned within me, because I stubbornly resist you; grievously they shall bereave my sword, and at home - like death.
I heard that I groan, and I have no comforter; All my enemies heard about my distress and glad that thou hast done it: if you bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like me!
Yes, stand before thy face all their wickedness; and do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.
