Leviticus 15

Previous chapter Index Next chapter
1 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, saying:
2 declare to the sons of Israel and tell them: if anyone has an outflow from his body, then from his outflow he is unclean.
3 And so [the law] about his uncleanness from his outflow: when his outflow flows from his body, and when his outflow is delayed in his body, this is his impurity;
4 every bed upon which an expiration lies, is unclean, and every thing upon which one sits down is unclean;
5 and whoever touches his bed, he must wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening;
6 whoever sits down on any thing on which the one with the expiration sat, shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening;
7 and whoever touches the body of the one who has the outflow shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening;
eight if he who has an outflow spits on a clean one, then this one should wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening;
nine and every wagon in which the one having the expiration rode is unclean [will be until evening];
ten and everyone who touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening; and whoever bore it must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening;
eleven and everyone whom the expiration touches, without washing his hands with water, should wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening;
12 an earthen vessel to which the expiration touches must break, and every wooden vessel must be washed with water.
13 And when he who has the discharge is freed from his discharge, then he must count himself seven days to cleanse himself and wash his clothes, and wash his body with living water, and he will be clean;
fourteen and on the eighth day he will take for himself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and will come before the Lord at the entrance of the tabernacle of the congregation, and give them to the priest;
fifteen and the priest will bring one of these [birds] as a sacrifice for sin, and another as a burnt offering, and his priest will cleanse before the Lord his expiration.
16 If anyone has an outpouring of seed, then he must wash his whole body with water, and will be unclean until evening;
17 and all clothing and all skin upon which the seed falls must be washed with water, and will be unclean until evening;
18 if a man lies with a woman and [he] has an outpouring of seed, they must be washed with water, and they will be unclean until evening.

19 If a woman has the outflow of blood flowing from her body, then she must sit for seven days during her purification, and anyone who touches her will be unclean until evening;
20 and all that she lies upon in the course of her purification is unclean; and everything that sits down is unclean;
21 and everyone who touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening;
22 and everyone who touches some thing on which she sat must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he will be unclean until evening;
23 and if anyone touches something on the bed or on the thing on which she was sitting, he will be unclean until evening;
24 if a husband sleeps with her, her uncleanness will be on him; he will be unclean for seven days, and every bed upon which he lies will be unclean.
25 If a woman’s blood does not flow for many days during the time of her purification, or if she has an outflow longer than [ordinary] her purification, then at the time of the expiration of her uncleanness, like during the continuation of her purification, she is unclean;
26 every bed on which she lies all the time of her expiration will be [unclean], like a bed in the continuation of her purification; and every thing that she sits on will be unclean, how unclean it is during her purification;
27 and everyone who touches them will be unclean, and must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
28 And when she is freed from her expiration, then she must count herself seven days, and then she will be clean;
29th on the eighth day she will take for herself two doves and two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance of the tabernacle of the congregation;
thirty and the priest will offer one [of the birds] as a sacrifice for sin, and the other as a burnt offering, and the priest will cleanse her before the Lord from the outflow of her uncleanness.
31 So protect the sons of Israel from their uncleanness, lest they die in their uncleanness, defiling My dwelling, which is among them:
32 here is the law of the one who has the expiration and of the one who has the outpouring of the seed, which makes it unclean,
33 and about the one suffering from her purification, and about those who have an expiration, a man or woman, and about a husband who sleeps with the unclean.
