Then [Jesus] entered Jericho and was passing through.
And now, a man named Zacchaeus, the chief of the publicans, and he was rich,
he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was small in stature,
And he ran before, climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste! Come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.
So he came down and received Him gladly.
And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He has gone in to the sinful man;
And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; half of my goods I give to the poor, and if someone has wronged, I will restore fourfold.
Jesus said to him, Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham,
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

eleven When they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and they thought that there should soon be the kingdom of God.
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
But his citizens hated him and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
And when he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered to his servants urge those who gave money, to find out who bought it.
Then came the first, saying, Lord! thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
And he said unto him, Well done, good servant! because you have been faithful in small, have thou authority over ten cities.
The second came and said, Lord! thy pound hath gained five pounds.
He said to him: Be thou also over five cities.
Another came and said, Lord! here is your pound, which I kept laid up in a napkin:
For I feared thee, because you are a hard man: you take what I laid not down, and reap what you did not sow.
[Lord] told him, your mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant! you knew that I was an austere man, taking up what I laid not down, and reaping what I did not sow;
Why did you not put my silver to the bank, that at my coming I got it at a profit?
And he said, Take from him the pound, and give that hath ten pounds.
And they said unto him, Oh! he hath ten pounds.
I say unto you, that every one that hath shall be given, and taken away from those with no and that is;
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Having said this, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
And when he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples,
thirty saying, Go into the village over against you; entered into it, you will find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat; Untie it and bring it;
and if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? tell him this: the Lord hath need of him.
Were sent went and found as he said to them.
As they were loosing the colt, its owners said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
And they said, the Lord hath need of him.
And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, they set Jesus thereon.
And as he went, they spread their clothes on the road.
And when he approached the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God with joy commandingly for all the miracles they had seen,
saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Teacher! rebuke thy disciples.
But He answered them, I tell you that if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.

And when he was come to the city, then, looking at him, wept over him
and I said, Oh that thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! But now they are hid from thine eyes,
For days will come upon you when your enemies will build trenches and encircle you and hem you in on every side,
And shall lay thee, and thy children within thee, and will not leave in thee one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.
And entering into the temple, he began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
saying to them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of robbers.
And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the elders of the people sought to destroy him,
and you do not find what they might do with him; because all the people were very attentive to hear him.
