And they came to the other side of the sea, in the country of the Gadarenes.
And when he was come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man [possessed] by an unclean spirit,
Who had his dwelling among the tombs, and no one could bind him even with a chain,
because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, but broke the chains and smashed the shackles, and nobody had the strength to tame him;
And always, night and day, in the mountains and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones;
When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped him,
And he cried with a loud voice, and said, What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore you by God, do not torment me!
For [Jesus] said unto him, Come forth, unclean spirit, out of the man.
And he asked him: What is thy name? And he answered and said, My name is Legion, for we are many.
And many urged him not to send them out of the country.
eleven Now there was there the mountains a great herd of swine.
And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits came out and entered into the swine; and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and they were about two thousand; and drowned in the sea.
Fed them fled, and told it in the city and in the villages. And [the people] came to see what had happened.
Come to Jesus, and saw that lunatic, and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
Saw it told them how it happened to the demoniac, and about the pigs.
And they began to pray him to depart from their borders.
And when he got into the boat, the demoniac begged him to be with him.
But Jesus had not permitted him, and said, Go home to thy friends, and tell them what the Lord did to thee, and [how] had mercy on you.
And he departed and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done to him; and all marveled.

When Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, gathered unto him a great multitude. He was by the sea.
And here comes one of the synagogue rulers, named Jairus, and seeing him, he fell at his feet
and vehemently she asked him, saying, My little daughter is at death; Come and lay your hands on her, that she may be healed and live.
[Jesus] went with him. For great multitude followed him, and thronged him.
One woman who had an issue of blood twelve years,
He had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse condition -
heard of Jesus, she came in the crowd behind and touched his garment,
For she said, if even touch his clothes, I shall be whole.
And immediately dried up in her blood, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.
thirty At the same time Jesus, perceiving in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him in the crowd and said, Who touched my clothes?
The disciples said to Him, You see the multitude thronging thee, and say, Who touched me?
And he looked around to see her that had done this.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
He said to her: Daughter! your faith has saved you; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue, saying: Thy daughter is dead; that still trouble the Teacher?
But when Jesus heard these words, once said the chief of the synagogue, Fear not, only believe.
And do not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.
It comes in the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and sees the tumult, and weeping and wailing loudly.
And they entered in, said unto them, Why are you troubled, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleeping.
And they derided him. But he put them all out, he taketh the father and mother of the damsel and those who were with him and went in where the damsel was lying.
And taking the damsel by the hand, and said to her, `Talitha kumi ', which means virgin, I say unto thee, Arise.
And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was twelve years old. [Who saw] came to the great amazement.
And he strictly charged them that no one knew about it, and told them to give her something to eat.
